The Dortmund-based group dogado will take over the customers, assets and suppliers of the Berlin company Campusspeicher as of August 7. The dogado group seeks to reinforce its strong position on the German web hosting market with this new acquisition.
Dortmund. 08.08.2019. Raoul Hentschel, CEO of Campusspeicher, laid the foundations for the company in 2006 when he was still a student at TU Dresden (Dresden Polytechnic College). With Campusspeicher, Raoul Hentschel focused on the needs of universities and student business founders right from the start. To this end, Campusspeicher offers its customer base, numbering around 5,000, domains, managed servers and cloud solutions.
Campusspeicher and the owners of dogado have been partners for a long time. This takeover, which is now complete, was a logical and dynamic step in the web hosting market, where consolidation is the name of the game. Campusspeicher founder Raoul Hentschel commented the following: “I’m delighted that we’ve found a reliable partner that pursues the same business interests as us in dogado”. Daniel Hagemeier added: “Specifically, the service concept that characterises both companies is really what connects us; we call this “true service” at dogado and put it into practice in our business. We act as a reliable partner to our customers and always follow our corporate values: customer focus, simplicity and the personal touch.”
Campusspeicher: A 13-year success story
Campusspeicher, a Berlin-based company, runs complex IT infrastructure with the aim of making their customers’ daily work simpler using web technology. This means that customers can concentrate on their core business and the Campusspeicher team takes care of the rest. This won’t change for their customers (who number over 5,000) in the future; the only difference is that they’ll have a different contract partner: dogado GmbH. Campusspeicher will continue to offer high-performance SSD web hosting solutions, numerous domain extensions, an intuitive homepage toolbox, individual managed server, virtual server and root server. This means that customers can keep all their options open and are able to create anything from simple virtual business cards to complex company websites and online shops. In addition, they can now access an expanded product portfolio from a single source, including Office 365 products and solutions for e-mail archiving, for example. In the future, skilled support will be available for any product questions, even late in the evening and at weekends.
